Should you sit or stand when lifting?
You have a friend that insists that standing is better for gains. You have another that swears by sitting for most movements.
Who is right?
Neither of them - You should choose better company.
As with most things, the answer depends on what your goals are. Are you looking for more functional strength and related benefits? Standing is going to be your best bet. If you’re looking to maximize specific muscle engagement, sitting will be your best bet. Do what you must.

This past weekend, Chris Bumstead (CBUM) bagged his 6th Mr. Olympia.
He also announced his retirement.
Chris suffers from Berger disease and recently had a child. Taking a step back from bodybuilding (and unbelievable amounts of steroids) is probably for the best.
